What is in Hottest Music Festivals

Bonnaroo is considered by some as one of the most popular music festivals of the year. When the news of his 2011 training hit the streets (Eminem, Lil Wayne, Arcade Fire, just to name a few), it is worth remembering that in 2010, Bonnaroo’s team of fantastic green to reduce the environmental footprint of exposure to zero. This is commendable, because we must all do our part to reduce our footprint: 2010 was tied for the warmest year ever recorded, and climate change is probably the explanation for more frequent and severe storms of the year. However, the website of Bonnaroo 2011 is little mention of its green goals. The green team needs if they want to close the gap of the attendees come with green attitudes: for example, in his “What not to bring” page, including polystyrene and plastic bags … very commendable. But why not do more (reusable plastic bottles without water, biodegradable soaps and shampoos, etc?) And why not announce its commitment to go green to view their home page? I can only assume it’s because the organizers hope that the green event, should have greater control of those who once entered in the 700-acre “farm” in Manchester, Tennessee.

In 2010, Bonnaroo green team for an event with zero footprints and although this goal is far from completion, they had managed to divert waste from landfills third contraction. But a large amount of waste produced. And while recycling and composting bins have been used to its full potential, the event was driven by the same dirty energy that drew from a power company in question, Tennessee Valley Authority. We also encourage fans to do their part to go green!
